Missouri Assocation for Community Action

The Missouri Association for Community Action is a statewide association of 19 community action agencies fighting poverty in every county in Missouri.

Poverty is a formidable foe, impacting one in every seven Missourians. But, it's not an impossible one. Each day, the organization wins battles against poverty, family by family. Community action agencies provide critical services to strengthen families and communities. They assist with childcare so parents can obtain education to improve their job opportunities. They find solutions to transportation obstacles so people can get to work. They weatherize homes to reduce energy costs. They help families save to buy homes of their own. These and other community action agencies help families work their way to self-sufficiency.

They are an association on a mission: "United in purpose, the Missouri Community Action Network will inspire and engage people to ensure that all families and communities thrive."

The Missouri Association for Community Action - MACA - supports the mission through advocacy, training, awareness, technical assistance, and resource development.
