Native American Community Academy

The Native American Community Academy (NACA) is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in middle and high school (grades 6th to 12th), currently located in Albuquerque, New Mexico at 1100 Cardenas SE, in the Southeast Heights.

In school year 2010/2011 they will be serving up to 11th grade and anticipate an enrollment of 340. NACA’s student body is diverse with many cultural and ethnic backgrounds represented, including students from more than 37 different tribes.

NACA is currently working on plans to relocate their school into a newly constructed LEED Certified campus near the University of New Mexico and Central New Mexico Community College in 2012.

NACA is a small school that integrates culture, wellness, language, community, family, and preparation for college into each child’s education. Their philosophy is grounded in both the Native American tradition and a rigorous, modern approach to college-preparatory education. We require excellence from our students, dedication from our teachers, and commitment from our parents.
