StreetWise Partners
The mission of StreetWise Partners is to build mentoring relationships between low-income individuals (mentees) and volunteer mentors to develop workplace skills and employment networks as the bridge to a successful career. StreetWise Partners’ flagship program is Career Ventures, which takes place twice a year over 13 weeks. Additional workshops and one-day events are held throughout the year to both supplement weekly meetings and help support program alumni’s continued success in their career development. Their vision is that one day all citizens will have the skills and opportunities to become economically self-sufficient and achieve their full potential.
Since its founding, StreetWise Partners has served over 1600 low-income and unemployed youth and adults ages 18-60. Currently programs serve approximately 300 mentees each year in New York, New Jersey and Washington, DC. StreetWise Partners has worked with leading corporations to train more than 3,800 volunteer mentors who collectively donate more than 30,000 hours a year towards StreetWise Partners core programming.
